A loan helped a member to purchase a motorcycle for her husband to use to commute to work.

Samean Group's story

Samean, who appears on the right of the photo, is 30 years old. She is a married and lives in a village in the Tbong Khmum province of Cambodia. She is a farmer. Her family income has been supported by her husband, who is a construction worker. Both of them typically earn around U.S. $13 per day.

Samean is now asking for a loan as part of a two member group. She would like to use her share of the loan to purchase a motorcycle for her husband to use to commute to work.

She is confident that this loan will allow her to have enough money to buy a new motorcycle and increase her family profits as well.
