Marhabo's story

Marhabo has over 3 years of experience in trade. She is divorced and she has 2 children. She lives with her father and her brother’s family now. After her divorce, Marhabo was in a difficult situation. She did not have regular work to support her family. She decided to sells brooms because it was their family business. Her mother was a broom maker and taught Marhabo and her brother to make brooms as children. Her father sold brooms in the market.

But now Marhabo’s mother is dead and her father is old and could not help her financially. Her brother has one place for trade and he helped Marhabo rent a place to sell brooms. Marhabo’s children and father prepare the brooms for market. They paint and dry brooms under the sun and then Marhabo and her brother sell them in their business places. Additionally they have 40 hens and 80 chickens at home. They usually deliver about 20-30 eggs for sale to the canteens every day. Now Marhabo is requesting $1000 to purchase 4000 brooms.
