A loan of $450 helped buy soft drinks, clothes, and Yambal beauty products to better stock her business.

Fatima Beatriz Blanca's story

Fátima Beatriz Blanca S. Z. is a member of the Dapreydi Communal Bank in Tosagua County in the Manabí Province. She has been a member for one cycle.

Fátima is a single mother. Her 30 year old daughter has lived in Spain for six years. Since then Fátima has lived alone in Tosagua. For 20 years she has been selling soft drinks, beer, some children’s clothing, and Yambal beauty products from her house. She gets them from the wholesalers in Portoviejo, which is one hour from where she lives.

Fátima says that her customers come to her house, so she does not see the need to leave and sell her products on the street. She has not neglected her business of selling soft drinks. She has plenty of customers from her home.

With the loan she is asking Fundación Espoir for she will invest in her business and buy soft drinks to keep in stock, clothes, and Yambal products for her discerning customers.

She plans to soon start a bazaar, buy display cases, and buy clothes for women, men, and children. She will buy pants, blouses, shirts, shoes, and articles for the home.
