A loan helped to buy compost for her organic, fair trade coffee farm.

Yenin Catalina's story

Yenin, 25, is a member of the Cenfrocafe Cooperative. She lives in the village of Calabazo, San Ignacio Province, Peru, with her husband and her young, school-aged daughter. She wants to use the income from her farm to give her daughter a good education. Currently, Yenin and her husband have 3 hectares of coffee. She has dreams of buying more parcels of coffee, increasing her production, and guaranteeing a good life for her family with the support of her husband.

With the loan, Yenin is going to buy compost in order to ensure that her organic coffee is of good quality. Yenin expresses her gratitude to Norandino for the loan services they have provided for the past five years and confirms that they have contributed to her family's progress. With the extra income, she wants to reinvest the money in her farm.
