A loan helped a member to buy rams to resell so as to satisfy the needs of his children.

Faso Yiriwaton Group's story

Sidy is the man who is holding the ram in the photo. He is a livestock raiser from Mali who did not attend school. Sidy is 43, married, and the father of seven children, aged 2 to 15, among whom two are enrolled in school. His wife is a housewife and has a small retail business.

Sidy has been in the livestock fattening business raising cattle and sheep for seven years. He buys his supplies in local markets and resells his animals in the same markets. He is a creditworthy client. The profit that his activities bring in allows him to cover certain needs of his family, among others healthcare expenses and school fees.

Sidy is taking out this loan with RMCR to buy a lot of sheep to expand his activity raising and fattening livestock. In future, his wish is to have a larger loan so that he can become an important sheep-raiser and better satisfy his family's needs.
