Phok N. is married with four children. He lives with his wife (pictured) in Battambong Province.
Phok N. is engaged in selling various kinds of food including porridge, dessert, and pounded papaya, typically earning US$5 per day. His wife helps him in the business every day, and she looks after the household chores. The family is also assisted by the two children who are currently employed in a hotel with an income of US$2.50 each per day.
N. wants to improve his business and generate a better income for the family. Therefore, he is asking for a loan of US$1,000 to buy utensils for making fruit shake. By doing so, he will be able to expand his business and attract more customers.
