A loan of $525 helped buy a freezer.

Otilia's story

Otilia is 54 years old and is dedicated and devoted to her family. She lives in her own home and her greatest wish is that her daughters reach their goals in their chosen professions. Her sells ice cream treats with the help of her oldest son, who brings the items from the city center to his mother's home, where she has four freezers and refrigerators. She then distributes the items to local stores. Her cheerfulness and ability to socialize have helped Otilia win new customers, making her business very successful, more so when she sells her items in school cafeterias, where there are more people. What she likes most about her job is that she is able to taste all the delicious flavors of ice cream that she sells. This is her favorite dessert. She has been doing this for fifteen years and considers the most difficult part to be transporting the merchandise, as she only has one means of transportation and she needs another in order to speed up her work. In the future she would like to be able to manufacture her own ice cream treats and not have to buy them in the city. She needs to prepare for this.

This is her fourteenth loan through "Microfinanzas PRISMA" and she knows that on-time payments are vital to the development and success of a communal bank. Otilia needs "1,500 PEN" ($525 US) in order to buy a freezer so that she can increase her inventories in order to satisfy her customers' demands, most of which are from schools.
