A loan helped to buy different kinds of sewing accessories like needles, threads, pieces of clothes, laces, machine oil, and buttons.

Shazia's story

Shazia is a 34-year-old woman who lives in Rawalpindi, Pakistan with her 4 children. Her husband has been working in a hotel for many years. He is responsible for fulfilling the needs of the family. Shazia provides sewing services and earns income to contribute with her husband to manage the household.

She needs to buy different kinds of sewing accessories like needles, threads, pieces of clothes, laces, machine oil, and buttons for her business purpose, but due to insufficient financial means, she is unable to purchase these accessories.

Therefore she has applied for a Kiva loan from its field partner BRAC Pakistan. This loan will enable her to purchase the above accessories and will also help her to increase her monthly sales and profit by providing better sewing services.

Shazia is very thankful to Kiva and to BRAC Pakistan.

This loan is special because:
