A loan of $775 helped buy a refrigerator for her fast food business.

Gladys De Lourdes's story

Gladys B. Macías is a member of the 3 de Mayo Communal Bank. They meet every 15 days in Picoaza, a parish belonging to the city of Portoviejo in the Manabí province.

Gladys has been married for 22 years, and she has two daughters.

She sells fast food like hamburgers, hot dogs, “chuzos” (chicken skewers), potatoes, colas, and water. She and her husband tend the business from 7 p.m. until 2 a.m. from Monday to Sunday. At the moment, they rent their location.

She will use the loan she is asking for to buy a refrigerator in order to give her customers better service. She has over forty customers. She is happy about the demand for her food. It makes her continue to grow and improve more every day.
