A loan helped to buy plastic utensils and crockery items for her husband's pot store.

Musarat's story

Musarat is a fifty-five-year-old married woman, living in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. Her husband owns a plastic pot store, in which he sells utensils and crockery items such as plates, platters, dishes, cups, jars, glasses, jugs, mugs, cauldrons, and buckets.

Musarat's husband wants to buy more inventory to sell because most of his female customers purchase utensils in large quantities for their households and for collecting dowry. For this reason, more inventory is required to cope with the sudden increase in demand.

Therefore, Musarat has requested a loan from Kiva’s field partner BRAC Pakistan, so she can buy utensils and crockery items and can generate additional income for cherishing their family in a better way.

She is very thankful to the Kiva’s field partner BRAC Pakistan because they showed her a beam of hope to fulfill these desires.

This loan is special because:

It provides financial services in some of the poorest parts of Pakistan.
