A loan helped to pay for an operation for her vision.

Martha's story

Martha is 57 years old. She separated from her husband 23 years ago, and this left her in charge of their three children. Two of them are now married, and she lives with her single son to the north of the city of Monterrey. In order to get her children ahead she works as a domestic employee for a Monterrey family. Her son works at a sports store in order to help with the family expenses.

She started having trouble seeing some time ago. She went for a medical check-up, and they diagnosed a condition that is causing her to lose her vision little by little. This is affecting her work and her family life. She needs surgical treatment.

She requested a loan in order to be able to have the operation. She trusts that she will recover her vision quickly with the operation.
