Lato's story

Lato L. is currently in the business of distillation and selling local alcohol and is requesting a loan to purchase more yeasts for brewing. Lato is 43 years old and was widowed when her husband was shot dead during the two decade war in Southern Sudan. She has six children and her children go to school. With the extra profits from her loan, Lato hopes to be able to pay her children’s school fees.
