A loan helped a member to pay for three 100-kg sacks of beans and the transport costs.

Tuhimizane Group's story

Ms. AGNES is a client at the microfinance institution Hekima and the president of the community bank named “TUHIMIZANE”. She is 59, married, and the mother of four children, who are still students. For 22 years, she has been doing commerce in beans and had started with funds from her father and husband and then from Hekima later.

With this loan, she is going to pay for three 100-kg sacks of beans and the transport costs in order to round out her initial capital. Her ambitions include providing an education for all of her children through the university level, feeding them well, and purchasing a parcel of land. She says “thank you” to Hekima and its partners for taking the proper initiative of securing financing for those who earn low incomes.
