A loan helped to buy threads to make and sell hammocks.

Norma Lizeth's story

Norma studied up to third grade in school. She is separated and has 2 daughters who go to school.

Norma has spent approximately 7 years making hammocks, curtains and woven bags in the traditional style. She does the work in her home and sells the finished product in the city. Her brother helps her in the business when she has several orders.

The loan will be invested in buying threads to make and sell hammocks. Norma dreams of working hard so that her daughters can better themselves and achieve their studies which she was not able to do.

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Donna Davison.
