A loan helped to start a cereal-selling business.

Diana's story

Diana lives in Bomet, Kenya, a favorable area for farming. In this region there is a high rate of poverty and unemployment, especially for women. Despite these challenges, Diana always works hard to ensure that she is able to lift herself out of the situation and give her family a healthy living.

Thanks to her daily efforts, Diana has been able to empower her children by sending them to school for a good quality education. Her primary sources of income are crop and animal farming. She earns additional income from a personal business. Diana has never had a formal education and is content with the farming lifestyle.

Diana has acquired a lot of skills and knowledge in sales through selling her farm produce. Her husband lately proposed to her that she could start a cereal business, after realizing there is a high demand for cereals in her area. Diana considers this a good idea and is ready and prepared to start the venture. However, her savings aren’t enough to start the new enterprise and she has requested for Juhudi intervention.

Profits from the cereal business will be used to repay the loan and improve Diana's living conditions. She will also save and give her beloved children a good lifestyle. Kindly help this enterprising woman.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals and farming equipment.
