God Help We Group's story

This is Makuta T., Matenneh C. and Kadiatu K.. They are businesswomen in Waterloo small-town, twenty miles from Freetown city. They named their group God Help We. This will be the first loan these women are receiving from SMT, a Partner of Shine on Sierra Leone. With this loan, these women will be able to add more goods to their businesses make better profit and consequently improving their standard of living. Makuta T. (middle) is the leader of the group. Makuta was born in Kabala town, in northern Sierra Leone. She is now approximately fifty years of age. She is married to a motor-driver and the two have four children together. Three of her children are now married and is in class one. Makuta sells cigarettes, matches, milk, coco, sardine, butter, chewing gums, mints etc. She has been a businesswoman since childhood days palm-oil, the most popular cooking oil in wholesale.
