Agnes's story

Agnes P. is a 43-year-old married mother of four children. She is married to Johnstone P. who is a businessman in Shanzu. The family lives in Shanzu which is in the coastal town of Mombasa. Agnes earns her living through grocery sales in Mikoroshoni, and she also sells fish and clothes as side businesses in the same area. She started with the grocery store then expanded to selling fish and clothes within a period of four years.

Agnes is accessing her first loan from KADET and she plans to purchase more grocery stock, fish and clothes to sell. She is very hardworking and industrious and she hopes to expand into a general merchandise store to fully maximize her income. She also plans to acquire a motorbike for passenger services.
