A loan helped a member to purchase more lumber to complete her new house.

Sokleang Group's story

Sokleang, 38, is married and living with her husband and two children in the Chamkar Leu district of Kampong Cham province. She is a farmer and has been operating her cashew farm to earn income to support their living since 2010. Her family income is also aided by her husband, who is a soldier. This family typically makes around 14 USD per day.

With the shortage of finances, she is now representing this group of four members to ask for a group loan. She appears as the first on the right and would like to use her share of the loan to purchase more lumber to complete her new house. She sees that this loan will allow her to complete her house and improve her family's living conditions.
