A loan of $875 helped purchase ingredients for making ice cream.

Edith's story

Edith is 23 years old. She is a cheerful young woman who lives at home with her parents. Edith wants to help with the household expenses because she does not want to be a burden to her family. She makes ice cream out of her house and distributes her product to all the stores in the neighborhood, where it sells quickly because of its delicious flavor. Most of her customers know that she make ice cream and many times will buy directly from her. What she likes most about her job is that she can eat ice cream anytime while she is preparing it. She has been in business for 4 years and the most difficult part is having to endure the cold when making the ice cream. In the future, she hopes to open a large ice cream shop where she can sell her products.

This is Edith’s sixth loan with MFP. She has always been punctual with her payments and hopes to continue in the same manner. Edith feels very comfortable with her Communal Bank and always receives advice from the older members. With the loan of 2500 soles that she requested, she plans to buy more ingredients for making her delicious ice cream so that she can improve her sales.
