A loan of $3,950 helped a member funding for operations.

La Pampa Group's story

"La Pampa" Group is a new 16-member group that is led by Basilia; some of the members have been a part of other past group loans. The majority of the group works in different activities. Some of the men are taxi or bus drivers, among other jobs. Some of the women work in small shops selling groceries, while others sell empanadas (meat or vegetable filled pastries), food, refreshments, bread, perfume, and fish. The competition among these lines of work is high, so it is very important to excel at their trade. The loan is to be used for the growth of their businesses through the purchase of merchandise, supplies, and tools to better their incomes, which allows them to give their families a better quality of life. As soon as this credit experience runs its first cycle through the institution, they look forward to being content that it has brought them economic assistance through improving their income and the quality of life for their families.
