A loan of $3,100 helped a member operating capital.

Virgen De Fatima Group's story

María represents the Virgen D. Fátima Group, which is comprised of 16 members. The men in the group work in Guabira Sugar Production, and have small businesses selling groceries in neighborhood stores. Their wives take care of the stores during the day. Other men are bricklayers and taxi drivers, and they need work tools to do their work more efficiently. The women in the group sell different products like food, groceries, fruit, and cosmetics. The president sells beer and soda in her home. The competition in their fields is high. Because of this they know how to get ahead in their work.

The loan is for the growth of their businesses by purchasing merchandise, supplies, and tools to increase their income. This will allow them to give their families a better quality of life. In respect to their loan experience, this is their first loan cycle with the Institution. They are happy to be offered an economic support that helps to generate better income and improves their families’ quality of life.
