A loan helped to buy better products to sell and earn more income for her family.

Bonifacia's story

Bonifacia is married and has four dependent children. For over 15 years she has worked as a merchant selling all kinds of things to support her family. Her husband is a bricklayer and works in construction.

Bonifacia lives in her own house but in a remote area of the city. She has a grocery stall at the city market but it is not very well stocked. Therefore she is applying for a loan to stock the business with more popular items and not lose clientele. She hopes to open a larger store and stock a wider variety of products.

Her work schedule is from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on weekends her daughter helps out when there is more sales activity.

Bonifacia also had to take charge of two of her grandchildren because their father passed away and the mother was studying. So she has cared for them while her daughter finished her education. This is why she must stock her store to earn a better income and improve her family's quality of life.
