A loan of $350 helped purchase candy to add to her inventory.

Julia's story

Julia is 44 years old. She and her partner have 5 children, of whom 2 still live with her at home. For 22 years, she has been engaged in selling groceries out of her house, which is located in front of the main park in her area. As a result, most of her customers are young. Her best selling products are candy and soft drinks, followed by groceries and vegetables. Julia opens her store at 6am and closes at 11pm. When she is shopping for supplies, her husband tends to the store because she does not want to close and chance losing customers. Thanks to the earnings that she has accumulated over time, she has been able to provide her children with a higher education.

This is Julia’s second loan with MFP. She is a very responsible client who participates in the meetings and decisions of her Communal Bank. The money she is requesting will be used to buy a variety of candy to satisfy her main customers – young people.
