Mechelyn A. is from the village of Rizal in Jimenez, Misamis Occidental. She is 42 years old. Mechelyn is married. To make a living, Mechelyn sells soft drinks and liquor in the local community. Mechelyn has been engaged in her business for over 10 years and earns approximately 5,000.00 PHP a month from these activities.
In 2006, Mechelyn joined GDMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Mechelyn has successfully repaid a previous loan of 7,000.00 PHP from GDMPC. This previous loan was used to purchase additional products to sell.
