A loan of $350 helped to invest in the purchase of rice, sugar, pasta, oil, and another table.

Mery's story

Mery is a hardworking and enthusiastic woman. She is 45 years old and lives with her husband. They have two grown children. Mery sells food at night on the sidewalk in front of her house, and her daughter helps her. Her husband always supports her – he works at a postal agency. Mery has belonged to the “Las Heroínas” community bank for the past two years. Her first loan was for 300 PEN, which she invested in the implementation of her business. She bought supplies to make her foods.

With this loan of 1000 PEN, Mery will purchase rice, sugar, pasta, and oil. She will also buy another table to wait on the customers. Mery’s goal is to have a household goods store.
