Fatoumata Bah's Group's story

The banc villageois, of which this group of five women is a part of, was established in June 2001. The group works primarily in commerce, selling various goods.

Nene, who is on the right of the photo with her hand raised, is the group's representative. She is single, 53 years old, and the mother of three children, of whom one is a daughter.

Nene has worked in commerce for a number of years. With this new loan, she plans to buy two 20-liter drums of palm oil and two trays of dried fish, which she will resell in the local market.

Profits will serve to cover her children's school fees, health costs, and other needs.

In this group: Fatoumata Bah, Mariama, Absa, Nene, Mariama
