Martha

A loan of $625 helped to buy bags of flour to produce baked goods for sale.

Martha's story

Martha is twenty-eight years old. She is divorced and has given birth to two children. Both are currently in school. She lives with her children in a rented apartment in a commercial town called Wiawso in the Western Region of Ghana. Wiawso is a commercial and farming community in the region.

Martha is a baker. She works hard to provide for her family. She bakes bread to sell wholesale and retail. She supplies to other retailers and beverage sellers in her community. Martha buys bags of flour and other ingredients from nearby communities at affordable prices. She has been in business for five years now and is requesting a loan to buy goods in bulk to expand her business.
