A loan of $525 helped purchase sacks of fruit.

Juliana's story

Mrs. Juliana is a member of the communal bank “Sarita Colonia” which is in the Juanjui district of the province of San Martín. She is married, 34 years old, and has 2 dependent children. Juliana tells us that she is very happy to have been able to get ahead with Manuela Ramos’ support. She is a woman who has been able to get ahead in life in spite of the difficulties she has experienced. This is why she decided to start her own business. She used to sell popsicles from her home. She saved bit by bit because she had her business plan of selling fruit in the central market “Pomarrosa” in mind. She tells us that her sales are high because she knows her customers well.

Nowadays she has the same business and is happy doing it. She has a loyal group of customers who go to the market each day to buy from her where she sells everything a house wife might need to make juices and other things. She always takes care of her customers personally and with a smile.

To better serve her customers, she will buy sacks of oranges, mandarins, lemons, citrus, bananas, and plantains with the 1,500 (soles) loan. Juliana still maintains a lot of energy to get ahead and accomplish her goals and dreams. She is grateful to Manuela Ramos for helping her with her business.
