A loan of $1,200 helped to purchase feed for her dairy cow. She will need to store the feed during the drought to protect her small business.

Ruth Roxana's story

Ruth Roxana A. Q. is 27 years old and has been married to Grover Mita Alba for 5 years. They have 2 children who currently attend school. They live in their own home in the zone Maica Norte, 10 minutes from the city of Cochabamba. This area is known for its dairy and agriculture business.

Ruth has been working in the dairy business for 13 years. She began when she was very young, working with her mother who taught her everything about caring for dairy cows. Today she has her own dairy cow, and she sells all the milk to a local company that makes all kinds of dairy products.

She needs the loan to purchase feed to store during the dry season. This ensures that her dairy cow does not have to go without food during the drought, and her production won't be affected. This protects her income and let's her grow her business, so that she can continue to improve her living conditions.
