A loan of $1,025 helped purchase tires for his car & fertilizers for his potato field.

Moises's story

Moisés is 24 year old and a very industrious man. He lives with his partner, who is the mother of his child, in the home of his parents. From Monday through Friday, he transports passengers by automobile from the village into the city. His customers are mostly teachers who need to travel among the rural schools, usually making 2 to 3 trips each day.

Moisés just started farming on the weekends. He cultivates his land with potatoes and peas and transports his harvest in his car to the wholesale market in the city. With the anticipated earnings, he plans to buy fertilizers for his next crop because he thinks he is becoming a well-known distributor of potatoes in the area.

This is his fourth loan with MFP. Moisés is willing to make all of his payments because he does not want to cause problems for the other members of his Communal Bank, of whom he has earned their appreciation. The money he requested will be used to purchase 2 tires for his car as well as 4 sacks of chemical fertilizers.
