Lleny's story

Mrs. Lleny is part of the “Picota” Community Bank, in the District of Picota, Picota Province, and San Martin State. She is a forty year old married woman and the mother of three children, one of which is still under her care and is a student.

Faced with the need to contribute financially to the household income, and being self motivated, she started a small business selling groceries. She began with S/ 500.00 while located in her own home. At the present time she continues with the same business and her main customers are the people from her neighborhood.

With this loan of S/.2,000.00 she will buy more goods to stock her business such as rice and sugar by the kilogram, eggs in cartons, personal hygiene products, housecleaning products, soft drinks in packages, candy and other products to keep her customers happy. Part of the money will also be invested in buying supplies to prepare her meals.

Nowadays, she feels very happy to work and for the service she provides and she thanks the Manuela Ramos Movement for supporting people who like her, want to work and get ahead. She hopes they continue doing so and help many families and entrepreneurial women.
