A loan helped to buy cheese in bulk and also hair-care products: shampoo and treatments which her customers have asked for.

Lerbis's story

Lerbis is 55 and lives in Barranquilla. She is a married woman who helps her husband with the household expenses by running a food and general goods shop. She set up her business in 2006 and, since then, has built up a loyal clientele, mainly in her own and nearby areas. The main goods she sells are cheese from the coastal area and hair-care products : shampoo, treatments, small containers, etc. Every weekend, she organises a timetable for going out to visit them. She would like to boost her income so she can improve conditions for her family and so she is applying for a Kiva loan. This will give her an opportunity to get involved in the financial world through the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo and enable her to buy cheese in bulk and also hair-care products: shampoo and treatments which her customers have asked her for. Please support this woman and her business.
