A loan helped to buy yucca, plantains, oil and condiments to make and sell tostadas.

Maritza's story

Maritza did not have the opportunity to study because during that time in her life there were no schools near her house. She is single and lives with a niece.

Maritza has worked making appetizers like yucca and plantain tostadas for 20 years. She learned the business from her aunt. She also works at a tuna boat business in another department 15 days a month.

The place where she sells the appetizers is two kilometers from her house. She goes there by foot and sells during the morning.

She will use the funding to buy yucca, plantains, oil and condiments to make and sell tostadas.

Maritza dreams of having a shop at the city's municipal market and she also wants to improve her house.
