A loan helped to pay labor costs to help him to collect his harvest of basic grains.

Juan Carlos's story

Juan is 40 years old, studied up to ninth grade, his partner works at the household tasks and raising pigs and poultry, and they have 3 children who are minors and study.

Juan works planting basic grains such as corn, beans and sorghum. He learned it from his father from the time he was little. In addition to this, he works in carpentry since a friend showed him the work.

Thanks to his previous two loans with Kiva, Juan was able to invest in his agricultural work, one he has already paid off and he only has a little left until he pays off the most recent one. He needs a new loan to pay labor costs to help him collect his harvest of basic grains.

He dreams of improving his house because it is a hut, to continue working hard so each day to improve his quality of life and support his children so that they sill continue studying.
