A loan of $700 helped buy fertilizers.

Juan's story

Juan is a 23 year old young man. He is separated, and he lives in his parents' house. He has a daughter who lives with her mother (his ex significant other).

Working and planting his fields is a pleasant and delightful activity for him. He plants potatoes on his farm in the mountain region, and he plants oranges and tangerines in the jungle. The place where he lives has both regions.

To cultivate good products like the ones in the photo, you need to give all of your attention to turning over, fertilizing, and fumigating the land at the right time so that you products are good quality. Then you don’t argue over prices in the city’s wholesale market. That way he has the certainty of selling his products, and most of the time he has better quality products than the other growers.

His wish for the future is to increase his production so that his earnings will allow him to buy a car to transport his products to the different markets.

This is his second loan with MFP. He feels very committed to his communal bank. He renews his promise to make his payments punctually. This loan is very important to him. The money he is now asking for is to buy chemical fertilizers and fungicides for his potato crops.
