A loan of $875 helped increasing her commodities and purchasing cylinders.

Laxmi's story

Laxmi is 20 years old, married and mother of 2 children, and the whole family lives her own house. For the past 2 years she has dedicated her professional career to the sale of fuel like petroleum, gasoline, and kerosene. Her business is known for selling unadulterated fuel, and for this she earns about 280 Soles per day in profits. For supplies, Laxmi travels every three days to the location where the tap is located that provides said fuel at the lowest price, and in this way she is able to sell it at a modest price. Because of this all of her clients prefer doing business with her. Laxmi is very content with her business, and even more because her husband primes the cylinders for the fuel in an appropriate location so that she does not have to bear so much weight and so that she does not contaminate her children. In the past her loans were under her husband's name, but she attended all of the meetings of the community bank and because of this decided to change the ownership of the loan and Laxmi feels very much a part of the group. Futhermore, she is the treasurer and she is in charge of the monthly collections. The money that she is requesting she will invest in the purchase of cylinders and more fuel.
