A loan helped a member to buy supplies of blue and white fabric.

Mungu Iko Group's story

Chantal is an entrepreneur and owner of a sewing workshop at her house, where she also sells sewing supplies. She is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and president of the banque villageoise "Mungu Iko".

Chantal is 36 years old and the mother of 6 children who are all in school. She will stock up on supplies of blue and white fabric in order to fashion school uniforms for students in preparation for the start of the 2017-2018 school year. She started this business 12 years ago with startup funds received from her husband. She thanks Hekima and the lending partners for their support of entrepreneurs without access to traditional bank loans.

It should be noted that a client is holding her baby in the photo.
