A loan helped to pay for his car's necessary body work and requested maintenance.

Samir's story

Samir is a 27-year-old Palestinian refugee who works hard to improve his business. He has been running his own hairdressing salon since 2014 and has eight years of experience. As a refugee, he didn't have the chance to choose his own business, since most Palestinian refugees living in Lebanon have limited access to several businesses, so they find themselves surrendering to the fact that it is either this business or nothing else.

He is acquiring a loan from Kiva's field partner Al Majmoua to pay for his car's necessary body work and requested maintenance.

He hopes to stay capable of developing his business and assure continuity.

This loan is special because:

It benefits refugees who have been marginalized.
