Mariana Mery's story

Sra. Mariana Mery is a member of the Communal Bank “Santa Rosa de Lima”, which is located in the District of Juli, Chucuito Province, Department of Puno. She is 30 years old and has been in a common law marriage for 5 years. She and her partner have 1 child. Sra. Mariana Mery completed her college education.

She has been working with Manuela Ramos for 1 year. Her first loan in the amount of 500 soles was used to purchase supplies for making embroidered fabrics.

At the moment, she is requesting another loan of 700 soles to buy more products, such as flannel and wool, so that she can produce more embroideries to sell at various regional fairs or through wholesale delivery since this requires additional capital. Sra. Mariana Mery tells us that she sells other products based on the time of the year. Since school has started, she sells items such as school supplies and other related merchandise.

Her biggest dream is to secure enough capital to open a restaurant or get a job as a teacher. She hopes that her child becomes a successful professional who does not have financial problems in the future. Sra. Mariana Mery enjoys her savings, earnings, the educational seminars provided by her Communal Bank, and sharing her experiences with other members.
