A loan of $1,050 helped purchase of seeds and fertilizer.

Elsa's story

Elsa is 55 years old and lives with her husband and her daughters in her own house. Since she was very little she has grown the native products of her region, such as potato, rice, and oca. Now she works with the support of her husband and daughters, with whom she is very pleased to work. Elsa sells her products in the main market in her town and on some occasions she also brings them to another city close to her own. She prefers to sell her products directly, since in that way she has better earnings than when she sells to wholesalers from her farmhouse. Her desire for the future is to increase and improve the quality of her products.
This is the 4th opportunity in which she has had a loan from MFP. She is part of a community bank and one of the most valued things about this methodology is working in teams. The money that she is asking for will be invested in the purchase of seeds and sacks of fertilizer.
