Luz's story

Luz, 47, lives with her husband who works for an oil business. She has six sons. Four of them are adults who work independently, and the last two are students.

For eight years she has had a small stall in her regional market where she sells clothes. Thanks to all of these years, she has regular customers and she can get daily income. Also, three years ago she bought a “motocarro” (a three wheeled motorized cart). A year later she bought another one. Two of her sons work with these vehicles transporting passengers. Every day they give their earnings to Luz to manage.

This is her eighth loan with MFP. What she likes about working with her communal bank is that all of her colleagues are very responsible and hard working. She will use the money she is asking for to buy more clothes for approximately 2,000 PEN. With the rest she plans to get spare parts to have her motocarros repaired.
