A loan helped a member buy cosmetics to sell.

Cristo La Fuente 2,6,7 Group's story

Marian is a hard-working woman who gets along by selling cosmetics and underwear in her community. She lives in a batey in La Romana, a province in the Dominican Republic.

Bateyes are poor communities that are far from the city, where residents do not have immediate access to markets, banks, and shopping centers. This means that they have to cover large distances to go into town to get supplies. They are rural areas where there is an abundance of Haitian immigrants and other Dominicans who work to support their households.

Marian's dream is to have her own home. This loan will help her to maintain and increase her customer base. She has had the business for 3 years. She likes the business because she knows the merchandise well. Her biggest challenge, as it is a home business and sometimes a traveling business, is collection. She needs your support to buy merchandise such as shampoo, creams, deodorant, and underwear, etc.

The Cristo La Fuente group thanks you for supporting the progress of their families.
