A loan of $1,100 helped a member to buy food items and housewares.

Gie Pakao Group's story

For the first time, we've come to request a loan from your institution. We are a group of women who live in an isolated area with some access problems. Moreover, this is why we have never received financing or loans from the classic institutions that operate in our area. Only SEM has spoken of you and your grandeur in being willing to finance remote villages like ours. And so, our hopes are founded on this loan, which will enable us to work and to lift ourselves out of the poverty in which we've remained for so long.

Yet we have a real production capacity that only requires some support, and we are sure of making it through with our heads held high. This loan will allow us to supply ourselves with merchandise that the people need and have trouble finding, in any case at an enormous sacrifice, given the isolation of our village.
