A loan helped to buy a cabin for processing the forage mass.

Anisoara's story

Anisoara is a 23-year-old farmer in Radenii Vechi village in the Floresti region, Moldova. She is married and now she is waiting for a baby.

Anisoara started the farming activity in 2012 with five cows and one tractor, which was purchased with the help of an international agricultural project. Anisoara is very pleased to be able to offer a good production, without extra additions, being all natural and high quality. To be a good farmer is hard work, but she really likes what she does. Therefore in five years she supported good luck having now 31 milking cows, 26 cattle, 3 pigs and 1 horse. She rents 54 ha of land where she grows wheat, corn, apples in an orchard and alfalfa. Much of the production she uses as feed for animals and the rest she sells. For processing the land, she uses a plow, a stub and a cultivator. But she also needs a cabin for processing the forage mass and Anisoara requests a loan from Kiva that will help her to buy it. The revenue she derives from the sale of meat, milk and fruits is the only source of income in her family, so through the Kiva loan she will be sure that the future of her family will be better.

This loan is special because:

It enables those living in rural areas to grow their businesses at a lower interest rate.
