Mrs. Mich Suon Village Bank Loan Group's story

A village bank loan which consists of eighteen people is located in Sdau Aem village in Takeo province and all the members will use the loan in different purposes. Mrs. Mich S. is the village bank president. She is a weaver. Aside from this work, she is a farmer who owns a pL. of land to cultivate rice. In this plantation, she faces an obstacle because she does not have enough money to buy fertilizer and hire laborers to work on the field. In order to solve this problem, she decided to ask for a loan for this purpose. Mrs. Mich S. is a 37-year-old single with two sisters who are employed in a garment factory. Five members in this group loans are end-of-term loans and the rest have monthly payment loans. They are not required to pay any principal on the loan until the very end of the loan term. End-of-term (EoT) loans are AMK’s main product because it is the most beneficial to Cambodia’s poor. It allows them to repay portions of the principal whenever they are financially able to. Most clients start to make payments many months before the end of the loan term. Almost all of AMK’s clients make their payments on time. AMK has a delinquency rate of only 0.09% and AMK has a default rate of 0% on Kiva.
