A loan of $450 helped to buy traditional cloth.

Ayele's story

Ms. Ayélé is an itinerant retailer of different categories of pagnes (colorful West African cloth) in the Atiégou district in Lomé.  She is married to a teacher at a private primary school;  the couple has four children to support.

Supporting her husband financially to educate their children is why this lady decided to embark upon selling pagnes in 2004.  Usually she sells by going from house to house; today she has a customer base that is not insignificant.  To renew her stock of pagnes, she's requesting a WAGES loan to go to the Grand Market in Lomé to buy several lengths of pagnes:  20 lengths of Phoenix brand , 25 of Sosso, and 15 of Hitarget.
