Isidora's story

Sra. Isidora is a member of the Communal Bank “Nuestra Señora de la Paz” (Our Lady of Peace), which is located in the District of Tarapoto, San Martin Province, Department of San Martin. She is 52 years old, in a common law marriage, and has 4 children (1 is still a dependent).

She has been selling watches for several years. With her first loan of 300 soles, she launched her business and gradually became known in the neighborhood. Sra. Isidora has been running her business for the past 9 years from the central market of the city. She has a steady clientele which includes friends, relatives and neighbors. With her charismatic personality, her business continues to do very well and generate monthly profits.

With her loan of 2000 soles, she will buy watches of different brands and models for men, women and children. She also plans to purchase wristbands, watch batteries, and sunglasses to complement her product line. Isidora is very happy with what she has accomplished and that her business is doing very well. She is grateful to Manuela Ramos for helping her start her business as well as other women who want to grow as entrepreneurs.
