A loan helped to buy cheese, flour, corn, beans, pork rinds, chairs, and tables for her pupusa-selling business.

María Elsa's story

Maria didn't have the opportunity to go to school because of the lack of opportunities. She is a single mother and has two children.

Maria has had a pupusa [thick, stuffed corn tortillas] business for 25 years. She learned the work from her mother. One of her children is involved in the work.

She will use the loan to buy cheese, flour, corn, beans, pork rinds, chairs, and tables for her business of selling pupusas.

Maria wants to expand her business and win more customers.
