A loan helped to continue and complete studies in industrial administration.

Cecilia Shirley Del Rosario's story

Cecilia is a young single mother, second of two children, and the only one studying for a technical profession. She is currently in her second semester studying industrial administration, and says that she chose this degree due to high demand for this skill in the industry.

Cecilia likes to think big, and is sure that having a child isn't a barrier to success, but is instead her greatest motivation. Once she has finished her degree, she plans on working in the field and studying industrial engineering. However, in order to do this, she needs Kiva's support for an educational loan, since her family is having a hard time at the moment. Her mother's income is insufficient, and on top of that, her father cannot work due to a disability.

Her greatest desire is to become a great professional, and give her child and parents a better quality of life. Cecilia says "I am very happy for the support I will receive, since it means I will not have to worry about monthly tuition payments, which will allow me to grow as a person and as an individual. Thank you for the valuable support you are giving students like me, who want to succeed despite economic hardship. Your help is invaluable so that we can keep studying, a thousand thanks!"
