This banc villageois was inaugurated in March 2001 and is made up of 6 women. Their business covers a range of diverse products.

Madam Sophie, who is to the right in the photo and has her hand raised, is the representative of the group. She is 47 years old, a widow, and the mother of 4 children (including 1 girl). She has been in business for many years.

With this new loan, she will be purchasing fruit and vegetables which she will sell out of her home. The profits will allow her to take control of the schooling and health care of her children as well as help pay for food.
